Skydance Paramount Will Cut Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance will begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The layoffs come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are expected, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal complete information during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports had indicated the company was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
